How to Integrate Aspiration and Prayer with Meditation

During the 2016 North American Kagyu Monlam at KTC Monastery, world-renowned meditation master Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche will offer extraordinary teachings on “How to Integrate Aspiration and Prayer with Meditation.”

The Tibetan word monlam means “aspiration” or “aspiration prayer.” Making aspiration prayers is an essential practice on the path to awakening as a powerful means to develop pure motivation and ultimately bring actual benefit to others. Making our aspiration prayers within a state of meditation is an especially profound way to accumulate merit, develop insight and benefit others at the same time.

By offering this teaching, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche is giving us the opportunity not only to experience the effectiveness of aspiration as we participate in the 2016 North American Kagyu Monlam, but also to carry forward into our lives the Monlam’s vast aspiration of bringing peace, happiness, and awakening to the world.
